We have an exciting opportunity within the Digital Technology Services (DTS) team, supporting healthcare delivery in secure prison environments primarily across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, but also supporting in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Staffordshire.

This role is ideal for highly motivated, organised, and values-driven IT professionals ready to make a meaningful impact in a unique healthcare setting. Youll be part of a team supporting clinical and operational staff working in secure environments, helping ensure continuity of care for some of the most vulnerable population.

You will be expected to have an enthusiasm for maintaining high quality service and exhibit the core leadership behaviours that all NHFT staff should adhere to. You will need proven IT skills and a commitment to provide excellent customer service. You will be a team player with a flexible attitude to your day-to-day work and be able to work in demanding secured services settings.

We are seeking an experienced and innovative IT Support Engineer to join our Desktop Support Team, providing frontline technical support across multiple prison healthcare sites.

You Will

  • Deliver day-to-day support for desktops, laptops, handheld devices, and peripherals across secure healthcare environments and the possibility of other NHFT Hospitals/Locations.
  • Support users working in challenging and fast-paced settings, including clinical staff, administrators, and operational teams.
  • Travel between Secured Service sites in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire & possibility of Staffordshire. A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven IT support experience, ideally in healthcare or secure services environments.
  • Strong customer service ethos and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and security.
  • Experience working in a Microsoft environment is essential; knowledge of Active Directory and remote support tools is desirable.
