The Inspires service is part of the national Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway and comprises four services within HMP Swinfen Hall: a Psychologically Informed Planned Environment (PIPE), a residential treatment (Delta Enabling Environment), a non‑residential treatment service, and an Enhanced Support Service (ESS). Service users are aged between 18 and 28 and have histories of trauma and complex presentations. We are looking for two Clinical Leads for the residential treatment service (DEE) and for the PIPE services. The role involves long‑term psychological interventions for 30 service users on a dedicated prison wing and a psychologically informed environment to support prisoners accessing or recently completing interventions. The successful candidate will lead an innovative service working with young adults in prison and will join a large, multidisciplinary team.
Main Duties
- Clinical responsibility for all aspects of the service
- Deliver person‑centred interventions to young adults in prison
- Provide clinical supervision and reflective practice for the team
- Consult and advise prison staff
- Lead service evaluation and development
- Provide core psychological and therapeutic interventions in line with trauma‑informed care, adhering to operational procedures, Trust policies and professional ethics and standards

Person Specification
Essential
- Registration as Psychologist or Psychotherapist
- Experience working in prisons
- Experience supervising a range of staff, clinical and operational (prison staff)
- Experience as a Senior Psychologist / Psychotherapist (8a)
Desirable
- Experience working with young adults
- Experience and trained to deliver specialist psychological therapies (e.g., CFT, EMDR, DBT, MBT)
