We are looking for an Energy Business Development Manager to join our London office and play a central role in growing Supercharge's presence across the UK, Europe, and the US. This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of deep energy market knowledge, new business hunting, and account expansion. You will need enough technical fluency to credibly engage with both clients and engineers, acting as a bridge between the two. You will take a consultative approach to building a strong energy pipeline, developing sharp prospect profiles that reveal not just who our ideal customers are, but when and why they need our solutions. Beyond the pipeline, you will actively shape Supercharge's position in the market, building an ecosystem of relationships that keeps us relevant, visible, and front of mind.
Your day to day will include:
- Mapping the energy landscape to identify high-potential prospects and key decision-makers, building genuine relationships that open doors for Supercharge's innovation and software solutions.
- Driving outbound campaigns that spark real conversations and convert them into qualified opportunities, while nurturing existing client relationships to grow long-term account value.
- Staying ahead of regulatory shifts, market trends, and project pipelines to spot whitespace early and explore new verticals where Supercharge can expand.
- Identifying and responding to RFPs and tenders, working closely with technical teams to craft compelling bids, and partnering with Sales and the Energy Director to spot growth potential across target accounts.
- Owning a clean, up-to-date view of the UK and wider energy pipeline, keeping the operations team briefed on upcoming projects to ensure capacity is in place.
- Directly managing and growing existing accounts — defining their direction, planning the right upsells, and deepening senior relationships to maximise long-term value.
- Attending industry events and webinars to stay current, grow your network, and identify new business opportunities.
What makes you thrive here:
- 3-5 years of experience in B2B business development or account management within the energy sector, with an existing industry network to build on.
- Strong knowledge of the UK and European energy landscape — the key players, their roles, and how the market moves.
- A solid understanding of how energy sector companies operate day-to-day, including their software and system needs, and the ability to translate that into relevant solutions.
- Comfortable navigating UK energy policies, subsidies, and grid interconnection processes independently.
- Experienced with CRM tools, pipeline management, and a proven track record of closing multi-stakeholder deals.
- Able to hold your own in technical conversations with engineers and act as a credible bridge between them and the client.
- Bonus: hands-on familiarity with energy trading processes or large-scale energy asset infrastructure.
Why join Supercharge?
- To unleash your full potential, we will fuel your growth with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop. From attending conferences (fully paid by the company), to soft and hard skill trainings, internal mentoring, and hands-on experience with exciting digital projects, you will always find new ways to push your boundaries.
- To feel your best, we have your wellbeing covered with a pension scheme set up with Aviva, enrollment in our company mobile package, and access to the Cycle to Work scheme. Plus, you will enjoy 25 days of holiday (on top of Bank Holidays) so you can recharge and make the most of your time off.
- To have a blast, you will be part of a vibrant, open-minded culture where curiosity and creativity thrive. Twice a year, we fly the team to Hungary for unforgettable Summer and Christmas events – all expenses paid. And in London, our community events keep the fun going, whether it’s casual get-togethers, office happenings, or just connecting over a beer on tap.
- To brighten your day, you will enjoy a cosy office environment right in the centre of London, complete with perks that make work feel lighter and more enjoyable. You will also get your very own MacBook so you can do your best work, anywhere.
