About the Role

We are seeking passionate and resilient Senior Coaches (Senior Residential Support Workers) to join our Ofsted Registered Children's Residential Homes in Ninfield.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people who have experienced trauma, instability and adversity, helping them to build safe, stable and ambitious futures.

Our home is a 4‑bed children's residential home supporting young people aged 10 to 16 with profound learning disabilities and complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD and challenging behaviours.

Some young people may be non‑verbal or low verbal and use alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton or AAC devices.

Adults must be able to remain emotionally resilient and responsive during periods of dysregulation, using calm and therapeutic approaches to support positive outcomes and maintain safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead practice on shift, supporting the Team Leader to maintain safe and consistent care delivery
  • Support and guide Coaches during shifts, promoting accountability and high standards of care
  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments and PBS strategies are consistently followed
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and elevate concerns in line with safeguarding procedures
  • Support young people with emotional regulation, behaviour management and daily routines
  • Build trusting, professional and therapeutic relationships with young people
  • Act as a key worker, supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes
  • Contribute to care planning, reviews and outcome tracking
  • Support engagement in education, routines and meaningful activities
  • Maintain accurate records, incident reports and regulatory documentation
  • Promote trauma informed, child‑centred and therapeutic care approaches
  • Contribute to reflective practice, team meetings and staff development
  • Maintain a safe, clean and homely environment within the home
  • Administer medication safely in line with training and policy
  • Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Previous experience within residential childcare or a similar care setting
  • Level3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of professional boundaries
  • Ability to remain calm, regulated and solution focused under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A trauma informed and child‑centred approach to care
  • Ability to support and guide less experienced staff
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding care and outcomes for young people
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Super Care operates a 24‑hour, 365‑day service. Flexibility is essential within this role.

Day Shifts – 1 day on, 2 days off (rolling rota) 07:30am – 10:30pm (15‑hour shifts)

Waking Night Shifts – 2 nights on, 2 nights off (rolling rota) 10:00pm – 08:00am (10‑hour shifts)

Shift patterns may vary depending on the needs of the home and the young people we support.
