The Role
You’ll become a consistent and trusted adult supporting young people with highly complex emotional, behavioural and additional needs.
The home supports young people aged 12-16 with needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex attachment difficulties, developmental trauma, emotional dysregulation, self‑harmful behaviours, suicidal ideation and extreme challenging behaviours.
The young people are verbal and relatively independent but can require a high level of emotional and behavioural support, particularly during periods of significant distress or dysregulation.
This is a high‑intensity role where your ability to remain calm, make sound decisions and maintain professional boundaries can have a genuine impact on a young person’s life.
As an Advanced Behaviour Complex Coach, you’ll also be expected to lead through practice and model high standards on shift.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building positive and therapeutic relationships with young people
- Supporting complex behaviour, trauma and emotional dysregulation
- Responding calmly and confidently during high-risk situations
- Following care plans, PBS plans and risk assessments
- Maintaining clear routines, boundaries and safeguarding standards
- Supporting young people with independence, education and life skills
- Leading by example and modelling strong practice on shift
- Taking part in activities, trips, holidays and community experiences
- Supporting routines, personal care and medication where required
- Completing accurate records, handovers and incident reports
- Working closely with House Leaders, managers and wider professionals

A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is preferred, but if you don't already hold it, SuperCare will fund it for you.
Shift Patterns
Day Shifts
7:30am - 10:30pm
1 day on, 2 days off
Waking Nights
10:00pm - 8:00am
2 nights on, 2 nights off
