Day Coach (Support Worker) at SuperCare provides care, encouragement, and consistency to children with complex needs. No two days are the same - one moment you’ll be supporting a child to dress, the next you’ll be helping them express their choices with a picture exchange, or sitting alongside them as they calm after sensory overload. What You’ll Do
- Helping with personal care routines such as toileting, bathing, and dressing.
- Supporting children with continence issues and administering medication.
- Using PECS, Makaton, and visual schedules to help children communicate and reduce anxiety.
- Encouraging play, creativity, and sensory activities that bring comfort and joy.
- Staying calm and compassionate during behaviours such as spitting, biting, or grabbing.
- Working closely with colleagues to keep routines predictable and supportive.

Therefore you should be physically and mentally fit enough to support them.
