Job Description
We’re looking for a Mixpanel Analytics Specialist to lead the implementation of event tracking, analytics schema design, and dashboard setup for a consumer-facing digital product.
You’ll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure Mixpanel is structured to support internal decision-making and generate meaningful insights for customers.
Key Responsibilities
Event Schema Design & Implementation
- Audit the current product experience and design a scalable, future-proof Mixpanel event taxonomy
- Define and document events, properties, and user attributes with product and engineering teams
- Guide implementation strategy (naming conventions, standardization, user ID mapping)
Dashboard & Reporting Setup
- Build Mixpanel dashboards for internal teams to access self-serve product insights
- Configure dashboards or reports for customer-facing metrics (value, engagement)
- Ensure dashboards are intuitive, scalable, and tailored for different audiences
Stakeholder Enablement
- Train internal teams on Mixpanel usage
- Set up alerts or recurring reports for key KPIs
Optimization & QA
- Support QA of implemented events
- Identify tracking gaps and recommend enhancements to improve customer journey and retention analysis
Qualifications
- Proven experience implementing Mixpanel for B2C or B2B2C digital products
- Deep understanding of analytics schema design, event modeling, and lifecycle tracking
- Skilled in building Mixpanel dashboards that support strategic decision-making
- Familiarity with customer-facing analytics and embedded dashboards
