We are now looking for a hands-on, accountable Kitchen Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of our kitchen in Basingstoke.
Role Overview
As Kitchen Manager, you will have full responsibility for all aspects of the kitchen operation. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you will manage standards, people, stock, training, and service — particularly during busy trading periods. You will lead from the front, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently, safely, and to company standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the kitchen operation, ensuring smooth, efficient service across all trading periods
- Prepare and cook menu items consistently to Superbowl UK standards
- Train, develop, and manage the kitchen team, including new starters and ongoing skill development
- Plan for and manage busy service periods, ensuring speed, quality, and organisation are maintained
- Manage all stock control, including ordering, deliveries, stock rotation, and waste management
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety standards at all times
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and food safety requirements
- Monitor food quality, portion control, presentation, and consistency
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
- Support rota planning and labour control where required
- Work closely with the site Management Team to support overall site performance and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a kitchen environment
- Strong understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen best practice
- Confident leading a small team and holding standards
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Organised, reliable, and proactive, with strong attention to detail
- Positive, hands-on attitude and commitment to delivering great food and service
