Team Structure and Reporting
The Manager – Operations reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and oversees 3 Operations Officers and a Data Coordinator.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of cash handling and custodial duties including safe, cheques, cards, and drafts.
- Supervise processing to ensure compliance with regulations and manage quality service indicators.
- Support Treasury transactions and ensure reconciliation of various accounts.
- Coordinate large cash withdrawals and oversee account management.
- Validate transaction accuracy and ensure timely payment processing.
- Lead testing for system upgrades and drive operational improvement projects.
- Maintain compliance and identify issues in regulatory environments.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and manage relationships with vendors and correspondent banks.
- Update business impact analysis and continuity plans.
Outsourced Functions
- Oversee outsourced processes, including reviews and compliance with FCA and PRA requirements.
Team & Risk Management
- Lead, motivate, and improve team efficiency, while identifying and mitigating operational risks.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Minimum 6 years in banking operations with strong regulatory knowledge.
- Proficient in banking systems, AML requirements, Finacle system, and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Leadership, analytical, and customer service skills with a proactive attitude.
