Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, keeping our financial wheels turning smoothly!

- Location: London, City (Hybrid: 4 days office / 1 day home during probation, moving to 3 days office / 2 days home after)
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Accounts Assistant, you’ll have a varied and hands-on role covering end-to-end transactional finance:
- Contractor & Supplier Payroll: Processing payments on weekly, fortnightly, and monthly schedules.
- Invoicing & Timesheets: Managing client portals to consolidate contractor timesheets, raising purchase orders, and handling billing through Xero.
- Cashflow Support: Uploading invoice discounting data to boost cash flow, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting with cashflow forecasting.
- Credit Control & Queries: Chasing missing timesheets, managing collections, and resolving client or contractor queries efficiently.
- Compliance: Supporting the Finance Director with audit requirements and ad-hoc projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of dedicated experience in an AP, AR, or Accounts Assistant role.
- Skills: Highly numerate with an eagle eye for detail.
- Tech: Experience with Xero or similar accounting platforms. (Recruitment sector CRM experience is a huge plus!)
- Qualifications: Studying towards your AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is highly advantageous.
