Executive Assistant to CEO Fintech Start-Up (Remote with London Access)

A fast-growing fintech start-up payments platform, is seeking a highly capable Executive Assistant to work directly with their CEO. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and disruptive business that is transforming the financial landscape.

The successful candidate will act as the CEOs trusted partner, providing a blend of executive, business, and private support. This role requires someone with outstanding organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to operate at pace in a start-up environment.

This is a remote-first position, however the Executive Assistant must be able to attend meetings in London a few times per month and should be open to international travel (likely once per month).

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Support: Manage the CEOs diary, inbox, and priorities, ensuring her time is optimised and high-value tasks are prioritised.
  • Travel & Logistics: Organise complex global and UK travel, accommodation, itineraries, and agendas.
  • PA & Private Support: Provide day-to-day personal assistance to the CEO, including household admin, appointments, and ad hoc private tasks.
  • Business Operations: Support with preparing reports, presentations, and briefing materials for both internal and external meetings.
  • Gatekeeping & Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients, handling all communication with professionalism and discretion.
  • Project Coordination: Drive progress on high-priority initiatives, keeping stakeholders aligned and deadlines met.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive and confidential matters with the highest level of discretion.
  • CEO Visibility: Assist in preparing communications, drafting content, and supporting the CEOs professional profile.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record as an Executive Assistant, PA, or Chief of Staff, ideally within a start-up or founder-led business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to anticipate needs and resolve issues before they arise.
  • Professional, discreet, and emotionally intelligent, able to build trust at all levels.
  • Tech-savvy and confident using tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, or similar.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in fintech, financial services, or a high-growth start-up.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience drafting content or supporting executive visibility.
  • Natural leadership qualitiesable to take initiative and act with authority when required.
