Overview
Combining some of the qualities of both a data analyst and software engineer, as a Sales and Partnerships Support Engineer, you will provide technical support to SuperAwesome’s sellers, business development and account management teams to help build one-off or prototype tools to rapidly demonstrate value in the course of client and partner engagements. You will be expert in the technical aspects of Superawesome’s software products and data estate, knowing how and where to source and process data to address their needs, and being able to autonomously use that data to offer supporting technical artefacts such as visualisations and dashboards.
Specific Responsibilities
- Provide on-demand technical assistance to Sales, Ad Operations/Yield Management, Business Development and Account Management “in the field”. This will likely include ad-hoc hypothesis testing, data extraction, troubleshooting, data visualisation and prototyping of bespoke functionality.
- Work closely with SA’s Product Managers both to help them prototype and explore new ideas and to bring them emerging requirements you discover in the form of functionality you deliver that may point to a need for new Product functionality.
- Collaborate closely with our product and data engineering teams and data science function to keep abreast of the technical details of how our products work, how to integrate your work with them without compromising the production integrity of our products and how to access our data estate.
Required Experience
- Background in the digital marketing and advertising industry with a good understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem.
- Experience working directly with commercial functions in a sales engineer, sales support engineer or technical professional services capacity.
- Comfortable and experienced in managing ad-hoc and often time-constrained service demands from stakeholders in commercial organisations.
- Demonstrable experience working with SQL, at least one scripting language (ideally TypeScript or Python), web-scraping tools and cloud-native environments (ideally AWS, but GCP also acceptable) and the use of generative AI tools to accelerate the analysis of structured and unstructured data.
Key Skills
- Curious about our client’s problems and a good enough understanding of advertising to think about solutions to them.
- Outstanding communicator with high EQ, able to clearly explain technical things to semi- or non-technical people.
- Self motivating and able to prioritise effectively in complex environments with high degrees of uncertainty and commercial stakeholders.
- Excellent SQL and fluent, pragmatic scripting in Python or Typescript.
- Able to work with Product engineers to arrive at solutions that deliver required results without compromising product integrity.
- Comfortable and effective operating with multiple stakeholders.
Benefits
- 25 days Holiday + 8 Public Holidays + Winter Break + Summer Fridays (10 Fridays).
- Enhanced Company Maternity Pay up to 100% of salary for the first 26 weeks.
