About the role
This position supports our efforts to identify and engage top talent for both current and future openings. You’ll lead cross-functional teams across backend, frontend, and data, fostering innovation and delivering scalable, high-impact solutions. This role suits a proactive, technically strong leader with a proven track record in building and scaling high‑performing engineering organizations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partnering to define the strategy and vision of your future team and wider Engineering organization, building new teams to achieve it, and growing the existing teams.
- Leading by example as an Experimentation and Outcome‑driven organization.
- Landing organizational impact for Super Technologies by influencing strategy, driving business decisions, and building relationships with partners and stakeholders to drive outcomes (Product, Marketing, Design, Commercial, Leadership).
- Partnering with teams across the company to land improvements on their products.
- Building, supporting and driving an organization made up of multiple teams of engineers including frontend, backend, full stack, data scientists and data engineers.
- Providing people management support and direction to your managers and teams in the form of hiring, coaching, support, feedback, performance management and reviews.
- Owning technical strategy and direction for your teams by handling ambiguity, building/driving roadmaps, ensuring Engineering excellence, setting goals and measuring impact.
What we’re looking for:
- Engineering leader who thinks about the big picture and can evaluate complex, ambiguous trade‑offs and achieve the right outcome(s).
- Proven experience (8+ years) in software engineering or related roles.
- Proven experience (6+ years) leading/managing an engineering organisation, supporting the growth and performance of engineers and managers.
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Extreme proactivity and autonomy in the face of ambiguity, identifies problems and drives solutions via themselves as well as others.
- Deep understanding of the complex technical problems, software development lifecycle and ensuring reliability and stability of services.
- Track record of driving clarity via written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
- Experience resolving complex engineering and communication issues across teams and organisations.
- Experience in sports betting products or online casino.
- Understanding of Kubernetes/AWS/Kafka and experience building highly reliable products.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams across varied time zones and job functions.
