Super Smart Service Ltd is a multinational logistics service provider under Zongteng Group, established in December 2015 in the UK. Our mission is to provide Chinese cross-border e-sellers and UK local online retailers with reliable warehousing and international delivery solutions. We operate globally and with over 13 warehouses in the UK, more than 280,000 square meters.
As a Legal Specialist, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day legal matters, reviewing and drafting contracts, supporting compliance across different jurisdictions, and providing legal advice to various business units. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in both English and Chinese, as you will be in regular contact with our HQ.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to logistics and cross-border e-commerce operations.
- Provide legal support and guidance to internal departments on compliance, employment law, and commercial law matters.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary to resolve disputes or handle complex cases.
- Communicate regularly with HQ in China to align on legal requirements, policies, and risk management.
- Support the company in ensuring compliance with local regulations, including data protection, labor law, and commercial law.
- Assist in managing corporate governance matters, maintaining records, and updating internal legal policies.
- Provide training or guidance to internal teams on essential legal and compliance matters.
- Bachelor's degree or above in Law (LLB or equivalent) from the UK.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken), to ensure smooth communication with HQ in China.
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Legal Specialist in logistics, e-commerce, or related industries is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong legal drafting and contract review skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships across departments.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration within a team environment.
- High level of initiative and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
