Super Smart Service Ltd (SSS) is a multinational logistics company under Zong Teng Group, established in December 2015 in the UK. Our mission is to provide Chinese cross-border e-sellers and UK local online retailers with reliable warehousing and international delivery solutions. We operate globally and with over 10 warehouses in the UK, more than 300,000 square meters.
As a Legal Associate, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day legal matters, reviewing and drafting contracts, supporting compliance in the UK, and providing legal advice. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in both English and Chinese, as you will be in regular contact with our HQ.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to logistics, cross-border e-commerce operations, real estate transactions etc.
- Provide legal support and guidance to the management and other departments on compliance, employment law, and commercial law matters.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel when necessary to resolve disputes or handle complex cases.
- Communicate regularly with HQ in China to align on legal requirements, policies, and risk management.
- Support the company in ensuring compliance with local regulations, including Data Protection Act, labor law, commercial law, guidelines from regulatory authorities etc.
- Assist in managing corporate governance matters, maintaining records, and updating internal legal policies.
- Provide training or guidance to internal teams on essential legal and compliance matters.
- Must have Master’s degree or above in Law from the UK.
- Must be proficient in both English and Chinese (written and spoken), to ensure smooth communication with HQ in China.
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Legal Associate in a law firm or company’s internal legal department. The experience in logistics, e-commerce, or related industries is preferred.
- Must be able to work on-site, normally in Lichfield site.
- Strong legal drafting, contract review and negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships across departments.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration within a team environment.
- High level of initiative and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
