Scope of role: Lead the growth function as Head of Growth after driving successful and sustained growth.

We’re seeking a dynamic expert to drive Super Reel Travel’s growth from proof of concept to becoming a leader in Europe’s city break destinations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving growth through social platforms, building vibrant user communities, and collaborating with creators to promote video shorts linked to the app. This role involves creating innovative campaigns that help users explore, plan, and book trips around their desired “see, stay, or do” experiences.

You’ll combine data-driven decision-making with creative marketing to optimise and scale campaigns. Starting with the Manchester pilot, you’ll lead efforts to expand into Europe’s top 20 city break destinations and beyond. Users today have become accustomed to intuitive app interfaces that drive inspiration in any number of ways, TikTok is the prime example.

Travel is a big legacy environment where customers are underwhelmed by traditional travel sites with a standard three box search (destination, start date, end date), followed by static images and text-heavy descriptions that fail to capture the essence of destinations or inspire users to Book.

The opportunity we see is solving the disconnect between digital natives who are used to searching and shopping through gesture driven, inspirational social media videos and the legacy travel agency model (online and offline) who have not embraced this dynamic short-form video capability.

Super Reel Travel Mission

Super Reel Travel is a video powered AI assisted travel platform that is more personable, actionable and engaging than any other existing traditional travel website. Key Responsibilities

  • You are hands on and can execute innovative growth strategies focused on social media platforms to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • To execute both organic and partnership/paid growth loops within social platforms including TikTok, Instagram and YouTube
  • To build and nurture a vibrant community of users and creators to boost referrals and organic growth.
  • Design and implement campaigns linking user-generated video content on social platforms to the app.
  • Identify, engage, and manage creative and commercial relationships directly with travel creators.
  • Foster a community-driven approach by encouraging users to share travel experiences via branded hashtags and challenges.
  • Use analytics tools to track campaign performance across social channels and optimise based on insights.
  • Lead the Manchester pilot program, analyse results, and scale successful strategies across the top 20 European city break destinations.
  • Work closely with product teams to ensure seamless integration of social campaigns with app features.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of driving growth through social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
  • High levels of experience in identifying and collaborating with influencers or creators in the travel or lifestyle space.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in tools like Google Analytics or Sprout Social, Amplitude and Firecase for data-driven decision-making.
  • A creative mindset for designing compelling campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
  • Familiarity with the travel industry’s unique dynamics, including seasonality trends and customer behavior patterns (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects from pilot stages through scaling in multiple markets successfully.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial attitude with a passion for travel and innovation.
  • Strong attention to detail, understanding that the smallest tweaks can have disproportionate and positive effects on the overall performance of content.
