Role Overview
We’re looking for a commercially driven, results-oriented Account Executive with experience selling into mid-cap and enterprise organisations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing complex sales cycles, developing relationships with multiple stakeholders, and identifying internal champions to help navigate and progress deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading high-impact outbound sales targeting mid-cap and enterprise merchants with turnover from £5m to £250m+, unlocking new commercial opportunities.
- Owning end-to-end sales cycles, from strategic prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and successful deal closure.
- Identifying and engaging key decision-makers and internal champions to accelerate deal momentum and drive consensus.
- Building and maintaining a robust, high-quality pipeline, consistently delivering against ambitious revenue targets.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to refine value propositions and optimise go-to-market strategy.
- Delivering consultative, solution-led sales conversations focused on meaningful operational and financial outcomes for merchants.
- Maintaining rigorous Salesforce hygiene, managing pipeline forecasting, CRM data, and performance reporting with accuracy and discipline.
We'd love it if you have
- A proven track record in B2B sales, coupled with experience selling to mid-cap and enterprise clients — ideally within payments with experience of Buy Now Pay Later.
- Demonstrable experience selling to merchants or payment decision-makers, with a clear understanding of how to identify and develop internal champions and stakeholders within complex organisations.
- Excellent commercial awareness and the ability to articulate business value and ROI propositions.
- Confidence in managing longer, multi-stakeholder sales processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with value-based selling frameworks such as Meddicc would be desirable.
