About the Role
We’re looking for a capable Full Stack Developer to join our team in Oxford. You’ll work across the full product lifecycle, from database to UI, building and maintaining web applications on a modern cloud-native stack. This is an office-based role suited to someone who enjoys collaborative, hands-on development.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full stack applications using Node.js and React
- Model and manage relational data in PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, and query optimisation
- Deploy and operate containerised services on Azure (AKS, Container Apps, or equivalent)
- Use GitHub Copilot effectively as part of your daily development workflow, including agent-mode tasks
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint ceremonies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable software
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Node.js (REST APIs, async patterns, TypeScript preferred)
- Solid React experience — component architecture, state management, hooks
- PostgreSQL — query writing, indexing, migrations
- Azure cloud services — deployments, storage, networking basics
- Containers — Docker, and familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS a plus)
- Confident use of GitHub Copilot, including agent mode and prompt-driven workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Bicep) and PowerShell scripting
