About your role: You will be responsible for innovating new and exciting liquids in line with our launch plans. Working cross functionally with supply chain, marketing, quality and project management you will help deliver quality products to market right first time.

What You’ll Do:

  • With the support of the line manager lead and coordinate projects assigned.
  • Responsible for the delivery development of new products on time in full.
  • With the support of the line manager create recipes of compounds, emulsions, flavour mixes and finished products. Develop manufacturing instructions to be implemented in concentrates and bottling plants.
  • Acquire technical expertise through delivery of new formulations.
  • Execute scientific / technical work on development projects.
  • Support any production required (Intermediates & finished products).
  • Supported by the line Manager, provide technical support to strategic projects, cost savings and Value optimization programs.
  • Ensure documentation pertaining to any project, formulation or idea is captured and put in place within the SBFE database.
  • Reliably produce samples in the lab and responsible for obtaining an appropriate record production of samples and analytical results.
  • Analytical validation and recording of samples or batches made in the lab.
  • With the support of the line manager, writes and reviews procedures, instructions and guidelines relevant to the NPD process and equipment in the lab.
  • Assist and support the continuous improvement of the NPD organization, processes and wow. Reports any significant variation and faults to the area owner and line Manager.
  • Support to Lab Assistants to the lab organization. Ensures labelling, materials and fixtures (accessories) are in place, correct and of appropriate grade.
  • Support to Lab Assistants for the good order in the laboratory, the use of equipment, cleaning and schedules, quality systems and procedures / processes.
  • Independently operates the lab equipment required for NPD delivery.
  • Creates, maintains and monitors the lab cleaning and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Maintains the records of ingredients, processes and procedures for full traceability of all products.

What You need to be successful: Bachelor of Science Degree in a food-related science field (Food Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or Agricultural Engineering). Demonstrated laboratory skills, within food/beverage setting would be advantageous.
