The spirits industry is an exciting, dynamic and fast‑paced business. Suntory Global Spirits is the third‑largest premium spirits company in the world, and this role offers the opportunity to be at the heart of our global business. Working within the Brand Home, representing one of Scotland’s most unique whiskey brands, you will promote Laphroaig to visitors and industry colleagues worldwide. Every day is different, with a wide variety of responsibilities ranging from tour guiding and whisky specialist to retailer, requiring a dynamic, adaptable, motivated individual.

Role Responsibilities
  • Learn the history and heritage of the distillery and communicate this to visitors.
  • Lead all distillery tours and on/off‑site tastings, ensuring service excellence.
  • Work across all areas of the visitor centre including hosting groups, retail shop and tasting bar.
  • Host each level of distillery tour, delivering high‑standard customer service.
  • Manage opening and closing of premises.
  • Assist with stock takes, counts, daily banking and reconciliation.
  • Handle administrative duties: respond to customer emails, process sales orders and organise daily diary.
  • Collaborate with the Visitor Centre Manager to define annual goals/objectives.
  • Work with the operations team to ensure operational procedures and H&S practices are rigorously followed.
  • Maintain visitor centre facilities to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Undertake training for development and on‑site health and safety.
  • Perform weekend work and occasional evenings as required.
Qualifications And Experience
  • Drive and passion for delivering excellent customer service and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a can‑do attitude.
  • Good listening and questioning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written skills with the ability to deliver presentations to wide and varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and build/maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong drive and desire to succeed with high levels of energy, focus and ambition.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a demanding environment.
