Suntory Global Spirits is Crafting the Spirits that Stir the World. Rooted in two centuries of family heritage, Beam Suntory has evolved into one of the world's leading premium spirits companies. With our greatest assets - our premium spirits and our people - we're driving growth through impactful marketing, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. We create endless opportunities to Unleash Your Spirit every day in a culture that is charged, creative, challenging and fun.
We are looking for an RGM professional with a good understanding of commercial insights, systems and data to deliver best practice implementation of RGM initiatives across key markets. The variety of skills and stakeholders in this role means it is suitable for someone with a range of backgrounds (such as RGM, commercial, marketing or finance) looking to stretch themselves in a new direction.
This position will help craft the region's RGM short / mid-term road map, putting consumers, shoppers and customers at the heart of our decisions in order to deliver sustainable profitable growth for Suntory Global Spirits. You will then be responsible for leading the execution across specific local markets, providing best practice guidance, embedding processes and building capabilities so that RGM lives as part of our business DNA.
You will influence key local markets across the 5 RGM levers to deliver overall RGM strategy and P&L commitments. Ensure that global pricing guidelines are being followed at a market level, and act as the conduit between local market and global pricing when global guidelines would negatively impact local performance, collaborating to find the optimal price positioning. Use local market actuals and forward forecasts to identify pricing risks and opportunities over the 1-3 year horizon. Act as consultant for local market updates to TTC frameworks, through regular TTC reviews.
Trade Promotions: Leverage regionally developed tools and processes to support markets to drive value through promotional evaluation and optimization, accelerating positive ROI activities and revising negative ROI activities with plans to counter vol/share losses.
Brand Architecture Strategy: Work with global and local RGM teams to identify white space opportunities for incremental brand expansion, identifying where products already exist in other markets to close the gaps (geo-expansions) vs need for new genuine innovation.
Mix management (portfolio and channel / customer): Full appreciation of the category and customer P&Ls to understand the short- and long-term actions that can aid margin enhancement alongside top line growth.
To be successful you will need to form close links with local market RevMan resources to ensure the markets have the knowledge and capabilities to support their commercial, marketing and finance teams through the journey to excellence and are able to measure RGM change progress in a quantifiable way. Markets are consistently creating compelling and engaging, data driven commercial stories covering our consumers, shoppers, customers & SGS that motivate individuals and teams to take action on RGM.
You are helping the business to execute our RGM agenda, using fact based insights to demonstrate the benefits across the full value chain (Consumer/Shopper/Customer/Beam) and across the 5 RGM levers (Brand Architecture Strategy, pricing, Mix, promotion and Trade Investment).
You drive a continuous improvement mindset by appealing to the hearts and minds of our business partners: You are actively engaging with, and building networks across, our International markets in order to champion the development of local market RGM best practices. The local market teams value your guidance and support on RGM topics and you are able to use this to influence key stakeholders and actively manage change.
6+ years of professional experience with 2+ years of experience across Category, Commercial, Commercial Excellence or RGM.
- Experience working in direct markets with exposure to commercial negotiations.
- Experience in creating and analyzing commercially focused reports and analytics that help the business to identify opportunities and risks, communicating these as actionable insights.
- Commercial acumen, able to translate analysis to pragmatic, actionable recommendations for customer teams.
- Fluent in English (Written & Oral).
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills.
- Knowledge of SAP pricing and discounts procedures (preferable).
