You will be leading the team to ensure the smooth running of production activities achieving all safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery & morale objectives, through the effective support & development of all staff.
Utilizing best practice lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
The successful candidate will focus on the development of the team, and individual capabilities and behaviours toward a self‑directed team culture.
This is a day shift role based at our site in Springburn, Glasgow.
- Role Responsibilities
- Drive H&S agenda & activities to ensure a safe working environment & achieve H&S scorecard targets.
- Support completion of identified H&S training & activities for the team.
- Drive the quality agenda & activities to maintain high quality standards.
- Engage with the team for proactive solving problem solving in areas such as quality, performance etc.
- Key focus on the team and talent development toward a multi‑skilled bottling team, and leaders of the future. Hold regular one‑to‑one and year‑end appraisal sessions.
- Manage performance, holidays and absence of the team as required.
- Drive your own development within the business. Deputise for Operations Manager where required.
- Ownership of line performance with timely intervention and escalation where required.
- Ownership labour and waste costs for efficient and effective bottling operations.
- Lead and facilitate DOR Tier meetings, as well as team performance meetings.
- Work as a team with stakeholders, such as planning, engineering, spirit supply and warehouse, to ensure bottling operations are as efficient and effective as possible.
- Lead team and develop an ownership at all levels approach to TRACC implementation.
- Facilitate yellow and green belt improvement projects. Supporting the team members on their learning.
- Develop the standards within bottling, following 5S and VM TRACCs.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ production experience
- Understanding of LEAN principles
- Experience of working in a BRC accredited environment preferred
