About your role

The purpose of this position is to provide expert legal advice and support to the company’s commercial activities, ensuring alignment with business strategy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements including sales, supply chain, procurement, marketing, sponsorship, collaboration, and partnership contracts.
  • Leading legal advice on digital activities, online presence, and direct-to-consumer sales offerings.
  • Managing data protection law compliance and supporting the Data Protection Officer in strategy implementation.
  • Building and managing competition law strategy to ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
  • Supervising, mentoring, and developing Legal Counsels to enhance team capabilities.
  • Managing small scale litigation internally and coordinating with external counsel for complex matters.
  • Providing formal legal training to various departments on relevant legal frameworks.
  • Supporting cross-functional risk management initiatives and liaising with external counsel and service providers.
  • What You need to be successful
  • Qualified lawyer with demonstrated expertise in commercial law
  • Experience in commercial, IP, supply chain, and procurement legal matters
  • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders including board members
  • Strong commercial acumen and pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Experience mentoring and developing legal team members
  • Experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector
  • Knowledge of digital commerce and data protection law
  • Interest in Legal Technologies
  • Experience managing competition law compliance
  • Prior involvement in cross-functional risk management
  • Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional legal environments
