About your role: You’ll be responsible for innovating new and exciting liquids in line with our launch plans. Working cross functionally with supply chain, marketing, quality and project management you’ll help deliver quality products to market right first time.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and coordinate projects assigned with support of line manager.
- Deliver new products on time, in full.
- Create recipes of compounds, emulsions, flavour mixes and finished products; develop manufacturing instructions for concentrates and bottling plants.
- Acquire technical expertise through delivery of new formulations.
- Execute scientific / technical work on development projects.
- Support production required (Intermediates & finished products).
- Provide technical support to strategic projects, cost savings and value optimization programs.
- Ensure documentation pertaining to any project, formulation or idea is captured in the SBFE database.
- Reliably produce samples in the lab and obtain an appropriate record of sample production and analytical results.
- Analytical validation and recording of samples or batches made in the lab.
- Write and review procedures, instructions and guidelines relevant to the NPD process and equipment in the lab (QEHS, Risk's prevention, 5S system, Lean…)
- Assist and support continuous improvement of the NPD organization, processes and wow.
- Report any significant variation and faults to the area owner and line manager.
Laboratory Tasks:
- Support to Lab Assistants for lab organization.
- Ensure labelling, materials and fixtures (accessories) are in place, correct and of appropriate grade.
- Support to Lab Assistants for the good order in the laboratory, the use of equipment, cleaning and schedules, quality systems and procedures / processes.
- Independently operate the lab equipment required for NPD delivery.
- Create, maintain and monitor lab cleaning and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Maintain records of ingredients, processes and procedures for full traceability of all products.

What You need to be successful:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a food-related science field (Food Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or Agricultural Engineering).
- Demonstrated laboratory skills, within food/beverage setting would be advantageous.
