About your role
The purpose of this role is to lead transformational change across the Commercial Finance team, supporting the ambition to build a highly engaged, best-in-class business partnering function. The role owns the continuous improvement agenda for Commercial Finance, identifying and delivering opportunities to simplify, automate and strengthen systems, processes and revenue governance controls (JSOX). It plays a key leadership role in major cross-functional programmes (e.g. Fusion, TPx) and critical business projects (e.g. DRS, COMEX), ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant and value-adding. A core focus of the role is driving consistency, simplification and automation of core Commercial Finance processes, improving data quality, insight, and decision-making across the GB business. The role is also accountable for maintaining strong Commercial Finance governance and control as systems, processes and ways of working evolve.
What You’ll Do
- Finance Transformation & Systems
- Own the continuous improvement agenda across Commercial Finance systems, processes and interfaces, delivering measurable reductions in manual effort, improved data quality and enhanced insight.
- Lead the identification and implementation of automation, digitalisation and AI-enabled solutions aligned to the integrated planning platform vision.
- Partner with Global Process Owners (RGM, Finance, IT, IBP) to design, roll out and embed transformational initiatives and track delivery of benefits.
- Work closely with IT to ensure data models, hierarchies and systems enable effective reporting, forecasting (IBP), budgeting and scenario planning.
- Drive the evolution towards predictive and prescriptive analytics to improve commercial decision-making.
- Business Partnering & Decision Support
- Support major enterprise initiatives & projects (e.g. DRS, COMEX) including financial modelling, impact assessment, mitigation plans and system readiness.
- Partner with RGM and Commercial teams to support G2N realisation, pricing effectiveness, JBP tracking and investment performance.
- Engage senior stakeholders across Sales and Marketing to ensure solutions are practical, adopted and value-adding.
- Revenue Governance, Controls & Compliance
- Own the design and effectiveness of revenue and marketing governance controls to ensure full JSOX compliance.
- Implement solutions to centralise, automate & simplify processes to reduce technical preparation time, drive compliance, improve data quality, availability and insights.
- Oversee internal and external audits and perform regular risk assessments.
- Develop and report governance KPIs to Senior Leadership and ExCo.
- Ensure robust business continuity plans for all critical Commercial Finance systems.
- Change Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead change management to ensure adoption of new systems and processes across the GB business (e.g. Fusion).
- Evolve TPx to ensure governance, IBP integration and incremental business value.
- Design and deliver cross-functional training and upskilling programmes.
- Contribute to the 3-year+ Finance Transformation strategy and GB systems roadmap.
