About your role

The purpose of this position is to coordinate the shift-based Maintenance Engineering team, supporting planned maintenance execution and delivering shift metrics across Safety, Quality, Performance, Cost, and People Development balanced scorecard.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate and hold the shift engineering team accountable for delivering planned maintenance activities.
  • Support the Site Shift Manager in reacting to on-shift operational situations.
  • Manage safe working behaviors and lead behavioral safety programs within the maintenance team.
  • Ensure product quality through maintenance activities and achieve zero overdue compliance actions.
  • Manage contractor permit control and adherence to safety standards.
  • Develop and support planned maintenance activities to improve asset reliability.
  • Support SAP and other systems for planning, control, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead root cause analysis for engineering breakdowns and embed TPM pillars including Autonomous and Planned Maintenance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Contribute to capital projects by identifying obsolescence risks and reliability enhancements.
  • Support stores management by ensuring stock accuracy and adherence to stock control policies.
  • Identify skills gaps and support people development through training plans and performance feedback.
  • Commit to self-development and promote automation capabilities within the team.

What You need to be successful

  • Indentured Apprenticeship in Engineering
  • ONC/HNC qualification within an Engineering Discipline
  • Solid experience in FMCG manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of asset reliability and maintenance techniques
  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Multiskilled engineering background
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead a team
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to adopt new technologies
  • Experience in bottling or similar FMCG production environments
  • Knowledge of process control systems
  • Experience with SAP maintenance modules and automation
  • Demonstrated leadership in continuous improvement and TPM implementation
