About The Role. As a Manager or Assistant Manager, you will provide oversight, day-to-day management, and cohesive leadership to the Trust team. You will be responsible for liaising with the team on all day-to-day matters within the scope of their duties and facilitate staff development through guidance, training, and performance feedback. Your duties will include:

  • Maintain a high level of client service and appropriate levels of client relationship.
  • Assist with group organisation and the control of workflows, working with directors, senior managers and other managers to ensure work is carried out in an orderly and timely fashion, driving the pace of the team’s work.
  • Be involved with complex and bespoke services provided to clients, ensuring that risks are properly identified, and appropriate action plans are put in place to mitigate the risks associated.
  • Overall responsibility for a team of individuals who administer a diverse portfolio of fiduciary entities.
  • Ensure all correspondence and other communication is attended to professionally and promptly to ensure a consistently high standard of service.
  • Work with the team to ensure that the firms KPIs are met by the individual team members in line with objectives set within performance reviews.
  • Where appropriate, act as the lead relationship manager for a small portfolio of high value and complex structures.
  • Sign documents as a ‘B’ authorised signatory where applicable.
  • Attend meetings with clients and a willingness to travel outside of Guernsey when required.
  • Keep abreast of the changing regulatory environment and new legislation that is being introduced and ensuring that the team are updated.
  • Focus and facilitate staff development through guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Hold regular Team meetings to cascade important information and share updated policies/procedures etc.
  • Sit on committees as required.
  • Ensure cover for team portfolios during holidays and long periods of study leave or other absences.

About you. You will have relevant management-level experience and strong interpersonal skills. The following attributes would also be advantageous:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of managing trust structures.
  • Qualified in STEP, CGI or similar professional qualification, or working towards the same.
  • Be proactive and forward-thinking with the ability to deal with tasks independently and use your initiative.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Proven experience and ability to lead a team and assist with training and development of staff.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and meet and define KPIs.
  • Be a brand ambassador and role model for the brand values of empowering responsible ambition.
