Civil Transport and Logistics is seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Operator to join our growing team in York, SC. If you have a passion for helping others, a strong work ethic, and experience in the towing industry, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operating a tow truck (flatbed or wrecker) to transport vehicles.
  • Responding promptly to dispatch calls for towing, roadside assistance, and vehicle recovery.
  • Performing services such as jump-starts, tire changes, lockouts, and fuel delivery.
  • Assessing vehicle damage and ensuring secure loading and unloading.
  • Providing excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Completing necessary paperwork and digital logs accurately.
  • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
  • Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Tow Truck Operator.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics and roadside assistance procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stoop, bend, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Heavy-Duty Towing Experience: Operating large wreckers for commercial trucks, buses, or RVs.
  • Medium-Duty Towing Experience: Experience with box trucks, delivery vehicles, etc.
  • Motorcycle Towing Experience: Specialized knowledge and equipment handling for motorcycles.
  • Accident Recovery Experience: Skill in complex recovery situations, often involving damaged vehicles and challenging environments.
  • Off-Road Recovery Experience: For vehicles stuck in ditches, mud, or other difficult terrains.

Job Type: Full Time, with Day/Night/Weekend/On-call shifts available.
