We are seeking an experienced Grease/Lube Technician to perform preventive maintenance and lubrication services on a variety of heavy equipment, trucks, and support vehicles. This position will work out of both the shop and a field lube truck, servicing equipment on active job sites as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine greasing, lubrication, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and fleet vehicles.
- Operate the shop and field lube truck to service equipment at project sites and in the yard.
- Check, change, and top off fluids, including engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, and gear oil.
- Inspect equipment for leaks, worn components, and maintenance concerns.
- Identify and report mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns to supervisors or mechanics.
- Maintain service intervals and complete required maintenance documentation accurately.
- Assist with minor maintenance and support shop mechanics as needed.
- Keep lube truck, tools, and service areas clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Follow all company safety procedures and job site requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Grease/Lube Technician, heavy equipment service technician, or similar maintenance role is required.
- Experience servicing construction and heavy civil equipment preferred.
- Strong understanding of lubrications schedules, fluid service, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to work in both shop and field environments.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service responsibilities.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather and job site conditions.
Preferred Equipment Experience
- Experience working on equipment such as: Excavators, Bulldozers, Loaders, Skidsteers, Rollers, Off-road trucks, Dump trucks, Service trucks and trailers.
