We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. You will be responsible for accurately calculating the total costs associated with our construction projects by identifying every material, labor, and time requirement involved. Your work will be instrumental in helping our sales team create winning proposals and ensuring our projects remain profitable and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Project Preparation: Gather and review proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents to prepare for the estimation process.
- Cost Analysis: Identify and compute labor, material, and time requirements by studying technical documents and project specifications.
- Budget Development: Propose final project budgets and help the sales team develop comprehensive customer proposals.
- Data Management: Maintain a robust cost database by entering and backing up data, and track project costs to identify trends or discrepancies.
- Reporting & Presentation: Assemble numerical and descriptive information to present detailed estimates and analysis to upper management.
- Continuous Improvement: Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, and maintain technical knowledge through workshops and professional publications.
- Software Proficiency: Must have demonstrable experience and proficiency with AGTEK and Heavy Bid software.
- Experience: Demonstrable experience as an Estimator, preferably within the construction industry.
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
- Communication: Ability to understand complex work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors, the sales team, and fellow employees.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical specifications, with a strong aptitude for mathematics and data analysis.
