Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is a leading global communications agency built to navigate the complexities of a hyper-connected world. We represent the icons and innovators shaping culture—from global heritage corporations and high-growth tech startups to non-profits, creative legends, and visionary founders who define the global discourse. Our expertise spans the full cultural spectrum. We operate at the intersection of entertainment, social impact, corporate reputation, and consumer lifestyle, executing seamlessly across traditional media, social-first outlets, brand partnerships, and influencer ecosystems.
If you're driven, intentional, and ready to do good, we're ready for you! Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis has an immediate opening for a high-energy, detail-oriented PR Assistant. This role is the essential foundation of our account teams. We are looking for someone with a clear understanding of public relations and a genuine passion and excitement for the work. Whether your interests lie in Film & TV, consumer brands, major events, social good, or personal representation, this is a role for someone who is ready to jump in and DO.
Assistants are the engine of our agency. We teach our junior staff the skills they need to grow into world-class communicators; in return, we expect you to exhibit the professional behaviours, curiosity, and emotional maturity that define the most successful people in our industry from day one.
The Role:
- Integrated Communications Learning: Exhibit a relentless interest in soaking up the ins and outs of the industry. You will learn how talent integration, media relations, social media, and brand strategy work together to drive a cohesive campaign.
- Media Research and List Management: Own the lists. You will build and maintain meticulous media databases across various verticals to ensure our teams are always reaching the right audiences.
- Cultural and News Intelligence: Act as the team’s radar. Monitor news cycles to flag breaking stories, competitor updates, and pop culture moments that offer opportunities for client engagement.
- Administrative Foundation: Support the health of various accounts by managing the administrative essentials: developing agendas, meeting recaps, activity reports, and budget trackers.
- Logistical Support: Provide critical support for client meetings and events. This includes scheduling, RSVP management, and occasionally providing on-site staffing for activations and press moments.
- Professional Ambassadorship: As the first point of contact for guests and vendors, you will manage light office duties—such as preparing conference rooms for meetings or greeting visitors—with a professional, courteous, and inclusive demeanour.
- Relationship Driven: You recognise that we are a people business. You lead by example in how you treat your co-workers, partners, and the media—prioritising trust, integrity, and discretion in every interaction.
Who You Are:
- The Emerging Professional: You have roughly 1 year of experience in communications, entertainment, or PR. You are ready to exhibit the behaviours of a successful professional in a high-stakes environment.
- High EQ: You demonstrate emotional maturity and high EQ. You can read the room, maintain a calm demeanour when things move fast, and communicate effectively with senior staff and guests.
- A Strong Writer: You are fast, persuasive, and detail-oriented. You can translate complex notes into concise, client-ready recaps or creative pitches.
- Entrepreneurial and Curious: You have an innate curiosity and a proactive attitude. You love a good brainstorm and are always looking for ways to make a process or strategy better.
- Exceptionally Organised: You have an eagle eye for detail and can manage multiple administrative and PR tasks simultaneously without letting a single detail slip.
- Driven to Over-Deliver: You take genuine pride in your work and are willing to work select evenings or weekends when our clients need us to move quickly.
Benefits x Perks: We go well beyond the benefits that you’re looking for like medical, dental, and vision plans, pension, annual merit-based bonuses and annual leave. Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis offers those benefits and many perks including, a flexible work schedule, Work from Anywhere program, Summer Fridays, Wellness Days, and a 4-week sabbatical or trip to celebrate select anniversaries. We love to socialise, so we have collaborative workspaces, rooftops, team celebrations, and networking opportunities.

We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sexual orientation, identity and expression, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
