The Role

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or someone early in their finance career to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced and exciting TV media production environment. You’ll support the Accounts team in managing the finances for Sunset+Vine Productions Ltd and will play an important role in supplier payments, reconciliations, and financial administration. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong Excel skills, and is keen to develop their career in finance. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, so this role would suit someone eager to learn and grow within a supportive team. Initially, the role will be office-based full-time in our Hammersmith office to support training and onboarding. Once established in the role, hybrid working will be available.

Key Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Supporting the supplier and freelancer purchase ledger functions across Sunset+Vine Productions
  • Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders and carrying out finance checks to ensure invoices meet legal requirements
  • Assisting with UK BACS payment runs for freelancers and suppliers
  • Supporting multi-currency international payments
  • Helping with cashflow reporting and reconciliations
  • Using Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs and Pivot Tables to analyse and reconcile financial data
  • Assisting with production account calculations and reporting
  • Supporting year-end and interim audit processes
  • Maintaining accurate and organised online financial records
  • Assisting with supplier expenses, invoicing, statement reconciliations and payments
  • Processing employee expenses and ensuring VAT checks and company policies are followed
  • Learning and applying IR35 rules to invoices (full training provided)

  • A graduate or someone with some previous experience in a finance or accounts role
  • Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and data analysis
  • An interest in developing a career in finance and accounting
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • A proactive and positive attitude with willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
