Role Overview: The Director of Technical Operations leads the end-to-end technical delivery of sports productions across studio, remote and outside broadcast environments. This senior leadership role combines strategic direction with operational oversight, ensuring high-quality, reliable and scalable delivery across broadcast, digital and emerging platforms. With a deep understanding of evolving technologies, workflows and industry innovation, the role is central to driving technical advancement, championing new production solutions and supporting business growth in an increasingly dynamic media landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Delivery and Live Operations: Lead technical delivery across all productions, including live sports and outside broadcasts. Ensure high-quality output across linear, digital and streaming platforms. Oversee signal workflows, transmission and technical quality control. Act as senior escalation point during live broadcasts. Ensure robust contingency and disaster recovery planning.
- Technical Strategy and Innovation: Define and deliver technical strategy aligned to business objectives. Oversee infrastructure across OB, remote and cloud-based production.
