Finance Director F&B - Europe, North Africa and Turkey

We are looking for a Finance Director to be based in London or Milan, who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Finance Departments in F&B outlets across Europe, North Africa and Turkey.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for all activities related to budgeting, forecasting, profit and loss reporting and account reconciliation for operating and balance sheet accounts for the company.
• Analyses department budgets, ensures actions are in line with legal requirements, monitors cash flow and addresses internal conflict.
• Oversee the accounting and finance function, provide leadership, direction and guidance to the team.
• Act as a strategic business partner and financial advisor to the management team.
• Manage all financial/operational accounting activities including monthly accounts, balance sheet, cash flow statement, flash figures, payroll, cash management, costing and budgeting.
• Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Direct the monthly accounting close process on a timely basis.
• Lead the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks.
• Oversee all audit and internal control operations.
• Prepare financial reports in accordance with corporate requirements.
• Lead operational manning and budgeting for new open properties.
• Assist Department Heads to improve their financial awareness and provide them with relevant financial information for their operations.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or similar.
• Availability to be based in London or Milan.
• Minimum 5 years of experience for a major F&B/hospitality company.
• It is a plus to have Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant designations.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong planning and budgetary skills.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Fluent in English (other languages are a plus).
• Availability to travel with frequency.
