Who We Are Seeking

We are looking for experienced Carpenters to join our skilled production team and contribute to the creation of some of the finest yachts in the world.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a skilled and meticulous carpenter who takes pride in producing high-quality work.

You'll be patient, thorough, and quality-focused, with the ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.

Whether your background is in marine carpentry, high-end residential joinery, kitchen fitting, shop fitting, or bespoke interiors, you'll bring a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship.

Please note: This contract role is within IR35 and pays up to £30.00 per hour depending on experience; 4 x 10 hour Day Shift OR 5 x 8 hour Day Shifts available

A Day in the Life

No two days are the same at Sunseeker.

You'll be responsible for producing high-quality GRP laminates that contribute directly to the build of our luxury yachts.

Working to exacting standards, you'll prepare moulds, complete hand lay-up laminating activities and ensure all work meets quality, safety and production requirements.

You'll collaborate closely with colleagues across the business, balancing teamwork with the ability to work independently and use your own initiative.

• Example Responsibilities Include
• Carrying out GRP laminating and bonding activities using a range of materials including gel coats, flow coats, vinyl esters, polyester resins, chopped strand mat, cloths and core materials.
• Preparing moulds, applying release agents and completing all aspects of hand lay-up laminating.
• Mixing catalysts and resin ratios accurately in line with technical specifications.
• Operating chopper guns and resin transfer equipment where trained and authorised.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship to ensure structural integrity, durability and finish quality.
• Following all health and safety procedures and correctly using PPE when working with GRP materials and processes.
• Working effectively in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and at height where required.
• To Be Considered for This Role You Should Have
• Previous GRP laminating experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing or marine environment.
• A good understanding of laminating materials, techniques and processes.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements relating to GRP manufacturing.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality workmanship.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A positive, adaptable approach and the capability to undertake physically demanding work.
• Experience within the marine industry would be advantageous, although not essential.
