Sunrise Nursery are looking for a fun, enthusiastic and caring person to join our growing team. The position is for 3 or 4 days a week, working 8am to 6pm starting March 2026. A level 3 qualification or above is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided. Salary is variable based on qualifications and experience. We are a family run nursery, with a huge outdoor provision and are passionate about providing environments that will enable children to develop their natural curiosity, creativity and imagination.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
  • Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and sleep time
  • Observe and monitor children's development and behaviour
  • Collaborate with parents and communicate regularly about their child's progress
  • Maintain a clean and organized nursery space
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 or above in Childcare is preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience working with young children is essential
  • Knowledge of child development
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children

Skills:

  • Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for children
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents and team members
  • Strong organisational skills to manage daily routines and activities
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children
