Sunrise Nursery are looking for a fun, enthusiastic and caring person to join our growing team. The position is for 3 or 4 days a week, working 8am to 6pm starting March 2026. A level 3 qualification or above is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided. Salary is variable based on qualifications and experience. We are a family run nursery, with a huge outdoor provision and are passionate about providing environments that will enable children to develop their natural curiosity, creativity and imagination.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and sleep time
- Observe and monitor children's development and behaviour
- Collaborate with parents and communicate regularly about their child's progress
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery space
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
Qualifications:
- Level 3 or above in Childcare is preferred but not essential
- Previous experience working with young children is essential
- Knowledge of child development
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
Skills:
- Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for children
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents and team members
- Strong organisational skills to manage daily routines and activities
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children
