About The Role

As the Engineering Manager, you will be at the heart of a dedicated Delivery Team, responsible for providing expert engineering advice and management. You will oversee design reviews, facilitate integration with project stakeholders, and ensure all engineering documentation complies with industry standards crucial for a project of this importance. Your role will involve close engagement with MOD assurance authorities and management of engineering processes aligned with Defence and Security Regulations. You will act as the primary liaison with industry suppliers and ensure all project requirements are met seamlessly.

Essential

  • Proven experience engaging with assurance authorities, managing engineering documentation, and navigating Defence Engineering policies.
  • Familiarity with DE&S policies, OME, DOSR, and DSA regulations.
  • Hands‑on experience in design reviews and producing compliance documentation tailored for operational delivery.
  • Security Clearance (SC) is essential.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working on GiK or rapid procurement projects.
  • Knowledge of DE&S Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
  • A relevant degree or HNC‑level qualification in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Professional registration such as IEng, CEng, RSci, or CSci.

Details

  • Location: MOD Abbeywood, Bristol, with flexible remote working (approx. 1 day per week onsite).
  • Duration: 90 days initially, with the possibility of extension.
  • Rate: Up to £570 per day (inside IR35).
