Our client, a leading defence company, is seeking a skilled professional to join their project team in Bristol. This role offers a compelling blend of challenging technical work and flexible working arrangements, with the option for hybrid work and occasional on-site attendance.

You will contribute to a cutting-edge initiative demonstrating a cost-effective, tactical ballistic missile system capable of operating in high-threat environments. Your expertise will be vital in delivering successful electronics outputs that meet rigorous security and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the generation of electronics requirements, defining technical deliverables and updating documentation accordingly.
  • Analyse electronics hazards and project impacts, contributing to risk reduction strategies.
  • Design electronics systems and components to meet customer needs within project constraints.
  • Manage testing, verification, validation, and evaluation processes for electronic systems.
Candidate Profile

We're seeking someone with:

  • A Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics qualification at RQF Level 4 or higher.
  • Experience in providing technical advisory services and delivering electronics outputs successfully.
  • Professional registration as either an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng), through a relevant professional body.
  • Ideally, a broad range of experience with electronics technologies and systems, gained within fast-paced delivery environments.
Details
  • Location: Bristol, ad hoc on-site attendance and UK travel required.
  • Security Clearance: SC clearance minimum (essential due to client timescales).
  • Contract Duration: ASAP until 31 March 2026, with scope for long term extension.
  • Day Rate: Up to £425 per day (inside IR35).
