Expanding our UK operations, we are looking for a SCADA Senior Engineer for Large Scale Solar PV power plants & Hybrid Systems.
Responsibilities
- Develops, designs, establishes and implements standardized SCADA and Monitoring System for our solar PV power plants;
- Creates cost estimates and supports procurement team for the SCADA system, Power Plant Controller and related IT equipment;
- Specifies monitoring equipment, meteorological stations, weather sensors, PLC’s, network topology / architectures of FO rings, human machine interfaces (HMIs) and other equipment together with other project stakeholders;
- Performs on‑site inspections and ensures proper running of the relevant Hardware and Software;
- Works with the SCADA suppliers to validate functionality of the site SCADA system, PV Plant controller and HMI;
- Coordinates with on‑site engineers for installation and commissioning support and generates project documentation including commissioning documents, as‑built drawings, operators manuals and training material;
- Supports the teams monitoring the solar PV projects and related output data during the commercial operation phase to ensure continuous monitoring of the PV Plants;
- Provides support in analysing root cause, if there are claims such as warranty claims;
- Assists from time to time in various maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of SCADA and communication system design, in particular SCADA system architecture, IT network and components (server, data logger, PLC, Router, Modem, etc.);
- Practical experience in the implementation and commissioning of SCADA and communication systems;
- Experience in the Solar PV power plant industry;
- Knowledge in Standards such as IEC 61724 and ISO27001 are desirable;
- Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, E-Plan, Word, Excel and Power Point;
- Very good skills in English, spoken and written.
