The predicted salary is between 25805 - 31539 £ per year.

The candidate will work alongside a team of early years educators who help, support and nurture the children in our care. You will provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, while delivering an appropriate play-based EYFS curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.

At Sunnyside Day Care we provide a safe and loving environment where our children, aged from just 6 months to 5 years, can explore, learn and grow. Founded in 2023, our play-based curriculum ignites our children's imagination and curiosity about the world that they live in. Early social skills are developed which they will carry with them throughout their life. Our team of early years educators treat every child like their own family, thus developing trust and ensuring a smooth transition from home to nursery. Our setting is purpose-built, with a safe, off-road car park, air conditioning throughout and a modern garden that can be used all year round. Our team make our business and we ensure all staff are valued and appreciated at all times.

What You'll Do

  • To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times
  • To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
  • To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times
  • To understand and work to nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies
  • To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes
  • To be a key person
  • To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments
  • To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement
  • To work in partnership with senior management to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the preschool aims and objectives

Training Outcome

Opportunities for permanent employment and progression into senior early years roles within the nursery upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
