Hours: Full-time (Shifts between 7am–6pm)

We’re looking for a brilliant, caring Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Sunny Days. As an EYP, you’ll take shared responsibility for the care, welfare, learning and development of children aged 0–5 in your designated group. Day-to-day, you’ll plan engaging activities, build strong bonds with children and families, and ensure that every child feels safe, supported and ready to learn. You’ll work closely with your colleagues, and will be supported with clear policies, regular training and a leadership team that’s always there to support you.

  • Flexibility to work a rota between 7am–6pm, Mon–Fri (and beyond 6pm in emergencies)

  • What you’ll be doing

    • Help plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities that support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS.
    • Be a key person for a small group of children, building strong relationships with them and their families.
    • Keep children safe and happy by following safeguarding and health & safety practices, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Work closely with your team, sharing ideas and supporting each other to create the best environment for the children.
    • Take care of our toys, resources and equipment so they’re always ready for little hands to explore.
    • Step up to lead the room when needed, setting a great example for others and making sure things run smoothly.
    • Stay curious and keep learning – with regular training and development to help you grow.
    • Always treat children, families and colleagues with respect, kindness and professionalism.
