Our client operates within the food manufacturing sector in Pembrokeshire and is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their Engineering team at a busy, high volume production facility.
Job Description / The Role
This role focuses on driving process optimisation and operational improvement across processing and bottling operations. You will use data driven analysis and Lean methodologies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, enhance equipment reliability, and support safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
- Lead initiatives to improve throughput, yield, and equipment utilisation
- Deliver Lean / Six Sigma projects (Kaizen, SMED, Value Stream Mapping)
- Conduct root cause analysis on downtime and quality issues
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Support compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and performance tracking tools
- Train and support teams in continuous improvement practices
What We Need From You
- Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar)
- 3–7 years’ experience in manufacturing (food, dairy, beverage, or process preferred)
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM principles
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Knowledge of OEE, root cause analysis, and process mapping
- Understanding of PLC, SCADA, or MES systems preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (desirable)
