Join our client as Site Quality Manager and take the lead on food safety, quality, and technical compliance at a busy 24/7 manufacturing site in Felinfach. As part of the senior management team, you’ll manage and develop a multi-disciplinary quality function while driving a strong food safety culture and continuous improvement across the site.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for an experienced quality professional who enjoys working cross-functionally and making a real impact.
Key responsibilities- Lead site-wide food safety, quality, legality, and customer compliance
- Manage and develop Quality, Laboratory, Technical Compliance, Supplier QA, and Hygiene teams
- Own HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, and food safety management systems
- Maintain certifications including FSSC 22000 and other regulatory approvals
- Drive continuous improvement and root cause investigations
- Ensure product specifications are met for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
- Champion food safety culture and GMP standards across all operations
- Manage quality budgets, reporting, and performance KPIs
- Build strong relationships with local authorities and internal stakeholders
- Degree qualified in Food Science, Microbiology, Dairy Science (or similar)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical or quality leadership role within food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety management systems
- Proven people leader with excellent communication skills
- Confident with audits, certifications, and continuous improvement tools
- Someone who’s up for a new challenge as this is a newly created department
- Calm under pressure with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Advanced HACCP (Level 4) preferred
- Must live within 40 minutes of Felinfach, Ceredigion and have own transport. Alternately be in the process of relocating to the area (Essential)
