A well-established, family-run business providing environmental, transport, recycling, and aggregate services across South Wales and beyond. With a reputation for reliability, safety, and quality, our client is expanding their operations and are now looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their team based in Cwmgwili.
In this vital, hands-on role, your primary objective will be to oversee the daily operations of our client's site and lead the yard operatives team collaboratively. You will be responsible for ensuring all site plant and vehicles (including screeners, crushers, excavators, and our state-of-the-art wash plant) complete their daily checks, and for maintaining absolute adherence to all Health & Safety standards (including Risk Assessments and SSOW). Additionally, you will coordinate the yard team's schedules, manage all on-site materials, and lead daily production meetings to ensure efficiency and correct handling.
Responsibilities:- Making essential decisions on materials and how they can be processed most effectively.
- Operating and loading a range of equipment on site.
- Maintaining good housekeeping on site.
- Assisting with compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Supervising members of staff you are responsible for.
- Ensuring regular maintenance checks and repairs on plant are carried out.
- Controlling the areas you are working in.
- Completing the commissioning and decommissioning of various plants.
- Ensuring products produced meet the specification standards.
- Assisting with the environmental aspect of the site.
- Ensuring KPIs are met.
- Previous experience of leading small teams effectively.
- Experience working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ideally a background of working in recycling, construction, and a production environment.
- Qualifications in site safety such as SMSTS, SSSTS and SSP would be advantageous.
- Previous Crushing and Screening experience.
- You will have a company mobile phone.
