Quarry Manager, West Wales  Location: West Wales (on site)  Hours: Full time  Type: Permanent  Salary: Not advertised; we’re very happy to discuss it with you in person  Package: Company vehicle, private medical insurance and company pension  Our client  Sunny Recruitment is working with an established, family run business within the quarrying and aggregates sector to recruit an experienced Quarry Manager for one of their West Wales operations.  This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, balancing time out on site with the planning, compliance and paperwork that keep a quarry running safely and well.  The role  As Quarry Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day to day running of the quarry, leading and supporting a small operational team. A large part of your role will focus on Health & Safety and compliance, making sure the right systems, risk assessments and safe working practices are in place.  Key responsibilities  Keep day to day quarry production running safely and efficiently Lead, support and develop the operational team Manage risk assessments and safe systems of work Ensure site and environmental compliance Oversee plant, equipment and maintenance requirements Maintain the required site records and documentation Work with suppliers, customers and relevant external bodies Be hands on and willing to help operationally when required What we’re looking for  Level 6 Diploma in Safety, Health & Environmental Management in Mineral Products Operations, or an accepted equivalent Experience within quarrying, aggregates or mineral products Strong practical knowledge of Health & Safety and quarry compliance Previous experience leading or supervising people A practical, approachable management style Confidence supporting and developing less experienced team members Full UK driving licence What’s in it for you  Company vehicle Private medical insurance Company pension Overtime opportunities Permanent, full time position Salary: We’re not advertising the salary for this role, but we’re very happy to discuss it with you in person.  How to apply  If you’re an experienced quarry professional looking for a hands on management role in West Wales, we’d be keen to have a confidential conversation.
