Location: Pembrokeshire, onsite
HOURS: Full time Mon-Fri 37.5hrs

Salary: £41,945.00 to £69,912.00 depending on qualifications and experience
Our client Our client is based within the Oil & Gas industry in Pembrokeshire. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Technical Services team.
Job Description/ The role: This is an ideal opportunity for a recent Mechanical Engineer graduate with some experience in Oil & Gas or a similar industry, looking to grow their engineering career.
You ll provide technical support to maintain safe and reliable equipment performance across its lifecycle. Working closely with the team, you ll contribute to inspection services, asset integrity management, and predictive maintenance efforts.
You ll also help ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards, manage integrity data for their Terminals, and support the implementation of inspection recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to ensure safe and reliable operation of mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead or support root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and procedures.
  • Ensure mechanical systems comply with company and industry standards.
  • Support preventive and condition-based maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate inspection-related repairs and remedial actions.
  • Assist with reliability initiatives to improve asset performance and uptime.
  • Contribute to asset integrity, obsolescence tracking, and reliability reporting.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

What we need from you:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Understanding of mechanical principles, including pressure vessels, piping, and tanks
  • Basic level of materials engineering knowledge/experience
  • Familiarity with risk-based inspection, damage mechanisms, and inspection techniques
  • Some hands-on experience with mechanical equipment (Oil & Gas or similar industry preferred)
