Join our client as a Packing Lead and take ownership of daily packing operations at their Felinfach site. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you’ll lead four shift teams, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys being hands-on while driving performance and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and coordinate packing teams across four shifts
- Deliver daily packing plans while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and H&S
- Monitor plant performance, OEE, yield, and waste against targets
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and UK HSE regulations
- Investigate incidents and escalate where required
- Oversee equipment performance, maintenance, and repairs
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset
- Complete risk assessments, permits, and operational reports
What we’re looking for:
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing (food preferred)
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Someone who’s up for a new challenge as this is a new department
- Confident analysing performance data and driving improvements
- Proactive, organised, and calm under pressure
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, logistics, and production
- Must live within 40 minutes of Felinfach, Ceredigion and have own transport or be in the process of relocating to the area (Essential)
