Head of Project Management wanted to join this growing organisation on the West Coast of Wales in beautiful Pembrokeshire. This really is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of growth for the local area and be involved in a number of projects from conception right through to delivery.

Permanent position. Salary up to 80k plus car allowance. Monday to Friday working hours. Excellent benefits package. Relocation package available for the successful candidate for those outside of the locality.

About your new role as the Head of Project Management:

  • The Head of Project Management is responsible for leading the project management office to deliver the Project and project portfolio.
  • To ensure the company’s cultural objectives and core values are brought to the fore in the way Projects and Programmes are delivered.
  • Main contact for project and programme stakeholders.
  • Deputise for the Project Director.
  • Develop objectives, strategies, and project management procedures.
  • Lead, mentor, and support teams in project processes.
  • Facilitate workshops and feasibility studies.
  • Oversee construction contracts and ensure compliance.
  • Manage project portfolios, KPIs, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and development.
  • Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and strategic goals.
  • Adhere to policies, financial controls, and risk management.

About you and what you need:

  • At least 10 years experience with proven project and programme management delivering both commercially focused and complex multi–disciplined projects.
  • You will have experience of managing programmes consisting of multiple concurrent multi–disciplined projects.
  • Be commercially astute.
  • Be able to visualise and explain technical solutions by tailoring the information to the level of the recipient.
  • Strong methodology/process mindset (PRINCE 2, Agile etc).
  • Significant experience managing multiple complex projects, including budgets over GBP1m.
  • Experience managing teams of high performing Project Managers.
  • Experience of change management and processes.
  • You will have an entrepreneurial approach to this position, be creative and be a driver to see the projects through from conception to delivery and everything in between.
