Our client, based in Whitland, are looking for a Design Office Engineer to join their busy team.
Job Description/ The role: The Design Office Engineer will create and develop manufacturing-ready designs, produce detailed 3D models and technical drawings in Autodesk Inventor, and support the delivery of practical engineering solutions from concept to production.
Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 3D designs and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Develop innovative and manufacturable engineering solutions.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and bills of materials.
- Work closely with production and project teams to deliver cost-effective designs.
- Support design improvements, problem solving, and product development activities.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and on schedule.
What is required from you:
- Experienced in a Design Engineer, CAD Engineer, or similar role.
- Confident using Autodesk Inventor to produce high-quality 3D models and drawings.
- Knowledgeable about manufacturing methods and engineering drawings.
- A proactive problem-solver with a practical approach to design.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working collaboratively and communicating with colleagues across departments.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and general engineering administration.
